Notice:
The Brattleboro Housing Authority has closed the Housing Choice Voucher waitlist effective May 30th 2008.
Applications received after that date will not be processed. The Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners reviews the list's status on a quarterly basis and will make any determinations concerning the list at that time.
We encourage you to apply now  for the Public Housing Program (see "Our Properties") if you are interested in housing with The Brattleboro Housing Authority. The wait between application date and being housed  is currently about 16 months for a resident of Brattleboro,Vernon, Guilford, Halifax, Marlboro, Newfane, Brookline, Putney or Dummerston Vermont. You do not need to be working, have notice to work or be living in one of these towns to apply for our housing, but we cannot estimate a wait time for non-residents.
 
At this time we do not offer site-based waitlists for Public Housing.

The Brattleboro Housing Authority will open  its Project-based Voucher Waitlist for the Ann Wilder Richards Building from May 1, 2010 to 4:30p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010.  Applications may be requested by telephone at 254-6071 or picked up at the main office at 224 Melrose Terrace, Brattleboro, Vermont, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. You must either live, work, or have notice to work in the following communities to be eligible:  Brattleboro, Vernon, Guilford, Halifax, Marlboro, Newfane, Brookline, Putney or Dummerston.  No applications will be accepted after 4:30 p.m. May 28, 2010.
